Our mission is to bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world by bringing professionals from diverse fields into schools. Through interactive workshops we facilitate the exploration of potential career pathways to ignite curiosity in students that will inspire their dreams for future careers. By fostering meaningful connections between professionals and students, we strive to empower the next generation to explore their passions and become future leaders.
This nonprofit began in 2022 as a student organization at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where we worked to link Ithaca City School District classrooms with professionals from a variety of fields. Over the next two years, we hosted more than fifteen visits from veterinary surgeons, astrophysicists, firefighters, EMTs, and more. Following these visits, we gave each classroom a memorable gift that ensured the students (and teachers!) remembered their experience. Seeing and hearing how impactful this program was for students in our area, we wanted to expand this program across the country to inspire more students. With this expansion, we also adopted the goal of reaching low- and middle-income students belonging to historically disadvantaged communities. We believe that early exposure to diverse career paths and professional role models can significantly impact the opportunities available to these students.
