Each YPA chapter connects elementary & middle school classrooms to professionals throughout their community.
Youth-Professional Alliance (YPA) chapters actively engage with teachers in local school systems, connecting them to a network of local professionals. Serving as intermediaries, YPA members coordinate and host visits where students are exposed to new interests, passions, and perspectives.
YPA gives special attention to students from low-income and historically disadvantaged communities, who will benefit from early exposure to diverse career opportunities.
The national YPA organization plays a crucial role in establishing, supporting, and expanding university chapters. By offering a robust framework and comprehensive guidance, the national team empowers each chapter to build strong local relationships while benefiting from foundational support.

“The Youth-Professional Alliance has been a highlight for my 2nd graders for two years now! We’ve enjoyed every visitor sent to us from this program. My students talk about each visitor for weeks after they come into our classroom. Our caregivers even share how thrilled they are for their children to be able experience these presentations! I can’t wait to see this program grow and enjoy more classroom visits.”
